They had their own fandom in indie circles prior to their official debut and then successfully engraved themselves in the minds of the public after taking part in the survival audition program "Superstar K." With their excellent stage manners and delightful energy, the four highlight the beauty of youth. 손닿을 듯 가깝고 생생한 음악을 선물하는 도심 속 라이브 콘서트 [I'm Live]. 실력 있는 뮤지션들과 공연을 사랑하는 시청자들의 사랑을 한 몸에 받고 있는 [I'm Live] 149회의 주인공은 밴드 딕펑스다.

보컬, 건반, 베이스, 드럼으로 구성된 4인조 밴드 딕펑스는 “기타 없는 펑크락 밴드를 해보자”는 발칙한 발상으로 뭉친 동갑내기 밴드다. [슈퍼스타K]를 통해 대중에게 이름을 알리기 전부터 홍대 인디씬에서 매니아층을 형성하며 입소문을 타기 시작한 이들은 완성도 높은 라이브 무대와 특유의 유쾌한 에너지로 듣는 이들을 기분 좋게 만드는 음악을 선보여왔다. 저절로 몸을 움직이게 하는 멜로디, 삶에 지친 모두를 응원하는 활기 넘치는 노랫말로 ‘청춘을 노래하는 밴드’라고 불려온 딕펑스는 2007년 결성 이후 10년이 넘게 활동하며 이전과는 다른 무드와 이야기를 담은 한층 더 성숙해진 음악으로 밴드 인생에 새로운 페이지를 열고 있다. 청춘을 노래하던 이들이 청춘을 위로하게 되기까지, 수많은 도전과 시도를 통해 성장하고 있는 밴드 딕펑스에게 많은 이들이 주목하고 있는 이유다.

딕펑스의 [I’m Live] 공연은 이들의 대표곡이자 봄날에 잘 어울리는 곡 ‘VIVA청춘’으로 시작, 서글픈 짝사랑을 노래한 ‘들리지 않겠죠’와 이별의 괴로움을 표현한 ‘난시’, 모두가 특별한 존재라는 응원의 메시지를 담은 ‘Special’과 레트로 사운드가 매력적인 ‘Bicycle Man’, 그리고 최근 발표한 신곡 ‘평행선’까지 다양한 매력을 담은 곡들로 진행됐다. 또한 딕펑스 멤버들은 시종일관 유쾌한 멘트로 지켜보는 이들을 끊임없이 웃음짓게 만들었다는 후문이다.
