Four On Six by Wes Montgomery is one of my all time favorite tunes. It's so much fun to play the mix of bassline, single note melody and chords, all included in the 4 on 6 melody.
This Four On Six Wes Montgomery transcription is being explained to you note for note, slow and easy. There is also a slow tempo playthrough at the end of the guitar tutorial.

The melody / head is not really that hard to play, although the tempo is a bit high. But fear not, I offer the Four On Six Backing Track at fast AND slow tempo, so you can start to play along immideatly.

I also made the 4 on 6 tab , which also can be downloaded from the link above. The Wes Montgomery Four On Six tab includes standard music notation as well.

There may be people, who'll ask me, why I don't use my thumb for an authentic Wes Montgomery lesson. Well, I'm not much of a thumb single note player. Octaves and chords, no problem, but single notes, not so much. I don't think it's necessary. Use your thumb if you want to and if not, it still sounds good, don't you think? After all I'm not Wes Montgomery, but Sandra Sherman adn I have my own style;-)

I tried to make my Four On Six lesson as easy and short as possible. But yet I explain the comping note for note, slow and easy, so you won't miss anything. It's really easy to follow.
