How To Use Phrygian Dominant scale with Tabs showing positions all over the fretboard, diagram with scale patterns, interval analysis, music theory, exotic licks and neoclassical shred lead lines.
We start off going through the scale, with he tab on screen, going through different positions and fingerings. After this the various ways in which you can play one octave of the scale are show- there's only really 5 obvious or usable ways. Then it's on to the theory; where the scale comes from, what chords you can use it over and where it tends to be played. We then discuss which notes are "safe" and which are more tense and explore a great little trick for creating and resolving this tension. Wrapping it all up with some Yngwie J Malmsteen style neoclassical hard rock licks and how you can get a more exotic sound, maybe something like Marty Friedman, or just that more Eastern sounding vibe that has been a standard in metal for the past twenty years or so :)
