In this free video drum lesson I want to show you how to play both the Intro Verse groove as well as the first exciting Chorus drum beat from the song "Message In A Bottle" by The Police. It features the incredible drumming talents of Stewart Copeland of course.

The Intro starts with a cool cross stick pattern before moving into a half time feel for the verse groove. Stewart's Hi-Hats just sound amazing during this beat.

The second part of the video lesson shows you how to play the first chorus of the song, including unique tom tom hits and off beat drum fills.
