something i little bit different today, a track from the great german psychedelic/experimental band Can's excellent 1972 record "Ege Bamyasi." i haven't really done much of this kind of stuff on this channel, but Can and other so-called "krautrock" bands like Neu!, Faust, Tangerine Dream, and lots of others, were a big part of my musical taste in my late teenage years, so i thought it'd be fun to do something! this one is a lot more straightforward than most Can songs, which has led to it being used in films and TV shows (a memorable one being the opening of Paul Thomas Anderson's "Inherent Vice").
the clear standout here are Jaki Liebezeit's drums, of course, but the great Holger Czukay does a great job of complementing them on bass. it's a really good one to just lock in and groove along to. hope you enjoy!
